| Tournament Description | This is a Nations Baseball Ohio State Qualifying Tournament. This tournament is for Community, Local Travel, and Travel Teams that need to fill the outside tournament requirement to attend the Nations State Tournament. THE RULE FOR 2011 REQUIRES TEAMS TO PLAY IN 2 NATIONS SANCTIONED EVENTS - A LEAGUE AND ONE TOURNAMENT OR 2 TOURNAMENTS. 3 game minimum - refund poicy in place should tournament not be completed. Teams will be placed in brackets according to competitive levels. The 14u age group will play both 80/54 and 60/90. Entry Fee is $275 and teams will pay umpires on the field ($45 per game ). Team and Individual Trophies for 1st and 2nd place will be awarded. Games to be played in Akron at the New Vaughn Rd Park Baseball Complex – 4 fields w/ 200’ Fences – smaller diamonds for 9u – 10u teams -- we will also use Cascade Valley Park In Akron and the beautiful Barberton Community Park for the 11u – 14u age groups. the 14u 60/90 age group will play at Summit Lake Park in Akron. These complexes have full concession stands, walk in bathrooms, and field crews on site – Barberton and Cascade Fields are lighted. |
